Natural Fiber Welding uses a patented closed loop, green chemistry platform to engineer precise hydrogen bonding networks in yarns composed of natural fibers (e.g., cotton), to create 100% natural and biodegradable fabrics that perform like synthetics. By controlling these bonding networks, the team is able to engineer the yarn’s morphology, form factor, and shape, which then allows them to control the fabric performance features including dry time, moisture-wicking, and abrasion control.
